Frequently Asked Questions

How do onsite demo days work?

Wheelhouse brings a selection of e-bikes to your location. Employees can test ride different models, ask questions, and get advice from our e-bike experts.

Demo days can be scheduled flexibly and tailored to your workforce size and availability.

How Much Does the Program Cost for Employers?

Costs depend on the program structure:

1. Payroll Reduction: Minimal cost, as employees cover leasing through pre-tax deductions, reducing payroll taxes.

2. Company-Funded: Employers partially or fully fund leases, with costs often tax-deductible.

3. Efficiency Gains: Savings on parking, commuting allowances, and reduced absenteeism help offset expenses.

The program is flexible, ensuring costs align with your budget and goals.

Can employers limit the cost of e-bikes?

Yes, employers can set price limits or contribution amounts. Employees can choose bikes within the defined range or pay the difference for higher-end models.

What happens if an employee leaves the company?

Employees may transfer the lease or return the e-bike. Wheelhouse offers flexible solutions for mid-term contract changes.

How does maintenance work?

Basic maintenance is included in the lease. Depending on the size of the fleet, Wheelhouse may send in a crew to service bikes on site, minimizing downtime and administrative burdens for employers.  Employees may also bring the bike in to any of Wheelhouse authorized service depots.

Are there any risks for the employer?

No. Wheelhouse provides insurance coverage for theft, damage, and accidents. All administrative support is handled by Wheelhouse.

How does this align with sustainability goals?

Promoting e-bike use reduces commuting emissions, helping your company meet sustainability targets and align with global ESG standards.
